B. What to Prepare 

(a)Submit 8 visa photos with BLUE background (passport-size) to ICEO together with the visa receipt. Take one photo with the following requirement for the work permit in China: WHITE background in technicolor, borderless, JPG format. The portrait is centered and occupies about 2/3 of the size of the photo, and the image is clear, without spots, blemishes, and ink defects. The size of the photo should be between 40KB and 120KB (472-560 pixels in height and 354-420 pixels in width). A copy of the photo in USB disc for future use is strongly recommended.

For your information,there is a photo studio available at the newsstand opposite the student cafeteria.

(b) Take a physical examination in the General Administration of Customs (Beijing) International Travel Health Care Center (Address: 20th Floor, Jin’ao International Building, No. 19 Madian East Road, Haidian District, Beijing) and turn the results and invoice to ICEO.

(c) All-in-one card processing: Please contact your school and provide an one-inch e-photo and related materials for processing.

(d) Please inform ICEO of your visa status, and we will make specific arrangements based on your visa status.

C.Buying Essentials 

There is a supermarket called CSF Market near the northeast gate of the school, where you can buy daily necessities. If you need to purchase household items or large-scale electronic products, you can go to Suning.com to purchase. Your long-term colleagues will also have suggestions on where to shop/look for/buy some items.

Wudaokou Subway Station is located in a cluster of universities. Many international students from different countries live here, mostly Korean students. Take Exit A of the subway station, you will see Hualian, an integrated shopping center.

 

D.Foods and Drinks

On weekdays, you can choose to go to the on-campus faculty and staff canteens, student canteens, and halal canteens, or you can choose to use your mobile phone to order meals on apps such as Meituan Takeaway and Ele.me. We believe the rich and diverse Chinese cuisine will surely satisfy your taste buds!
