A.Function of Residence Permit
Residence Permit acts as a certificate to ensure your legal stay in China within the validated period and also a multi-entry Visa enabling your visit to and from mainland China.
B.How to Apply
ICEO will help you with the application and extension of the visa/residence permit.
Your application must be sent to the Exit-Entry Administration of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau within 30 days of your arrival in China with a ‘Z’ visa.
For INSTRUCTORS who come to China with a ‘Z’ visa, they need to complete the following steps:
(a) Please go to the General Administration of Customs (Beijing) International Travel Health Care Center with your passport, 1 passport copy and 2 passport photos (with blue background) to take the required physical examination. Please provide the physical exam report and the invoice to ICEO.
(b) Submit 1 passport photo (with WHITE background) and the receipt to ICEO.
(c) Submit your passport to ICEO and wait for further information.
(d) The staff will inform you of the time to go along to the Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau for the rest of the procedures.
(e) For INSTRUCTORS who need to extend the validity of their Residence Permit, the validity of your Residence Permit is shown on your passport. ICEO will help extend the validity before the Permit expires and make sure it enables your legal stay in China during the time of your contract. Please submit your passport, 1 passport photo (with WHITE background) and 1 photo receipt to ICEO at least 1 month before the expiration date of your Residence Permit.
(f) If your work contract is renewed and your stay as a teacher is extended, we will help you renew your work permit in China and extend your Residence Permit.
(g) Please pay attention to the Date of Expiry of your Visa or Residence Permit. The penalty is 500 Yuan per day for any period of illegal stay in China for the first time and more severe punishment for the second offence.
